Diary Watch from the Stable of Apple: An Anonymous comparison with the Withings ScanWatch

Apple Watch Me is a part of my life right now when I don’t even know I’m putting it on. The Withings ScanWatch is an entirely different kind of smartwatch – which is why I thought it would be nice to try one of them.

This is the most modern version of Ending’s steel and is now available in Europe but is awaiting FDA approval for sale in the United States. It is an analog clock and a small digital clock. And unlike the Apple Watch’s 1-2 day battery life, it claims battery life is 30 days – and another 20 days in save mode, whereas it turns out that the digital age continues to reference time and measure activity …

Different and identical
The causes of the form
The fundamental difference between the two materials is, in fact, the reason for the shape. Apple Watch is an absolute digitalization. Swatch is a ubiquitous visible watch. Most people, I think, will not pay attention to this. The only thing that stops when you look closely is the black circle that takes up about 20% of the watch face.

It’s a digital shape, but since it’s off by default, it no longer immediately screams “smartwatch.” Many of those who don’t like screen-based smartwatches would like it. Of course, my friend, who ultimately rejects the idea of a screen on her hand, said it was acceptable (although the 42mm version I tried was so good for her that she would be happy with the 38mm version).

Activity monitoring
With GPS, altimeter, and accelerometer, activity monitoring provides the same functionality as the Apple Watch. It provides 30 types of practice exercises. For outdoor use, they measure distance, speed, and altitude and a map of your route. It automatically tracks your walking, running, swimming, climbing stairs, distances, and calories burned.

Health monitoring
ScanWatch has more potential here than the Apple Watch. It has equal heart rate monitoring, atrial fibrillation detection, ECG, and function. But it also has a therapeutic level oximeter to measure oxygen saturation (S2 of oats) and also detects breathing problems during sleep.

Notifications
Surprisingly, ScanWatch can also display a wide variety of alerts like the Apple Watch despite its small digital screen. I have used calendars, messages, and calls (and letters). I’ve also modified my main third party programs like CityMapper.

Apple ecosystem
The Apple Watch undoubtedly has one advantage more significant than any third-party smartwatch: it’s part of Apple’s ecology. More on this later.

Obstacles
Not being part of the Apple ecosystem is the most significant barrier to scan watch than the Apple Watch. Three examples emerged immediately.

First, my Apple Watch opens my Mac as soon as I wake it up; ScanWatch cannot do this.

Secondly, my hour is my primary way of paying for things. There is a connection anywhere in London, and I really can’t remember the last time I took the card out of my wallet. Scanwatch can’t do that either, which is excellent.

Third, of course, there is no secret access. I use so many secrets to order replies to messages as it is speedy and easy.

The e-book consists of the same activation services like the Apple Watch. This is disabled by default, and it doesn’t matter, as the only common usage showing is the date (although we can all use a reminder for it on these closing days). But the hands of the clock can partly interfere with this, and in any case, it is more reliable than the discharge of the apple, so I tried it but recently extinguished it.

Alerts are another essential difference. Yes, ScanWatch can show them, but a small paragraph means the message has to go across the screen.

Admittedly, Whitings uses this method better than I expected. I expected to see meaning in the vision, but the speed of movement is okay – quickly show information at the right time and keep it readable. It also spins straight twice, so if you don’t raise your hand fast enough to see it the first time, you’ll be back.

The reasons for the fuss

Activity monitoring is similar to Apple Watch based on in-app data (which can be integrated with the Apple Health app), but while Apple Watch rings provide eye view as they do in terms of movement, exercise, and idle hours. Swatch can display the same thing at the same time.

The swatch has an analog dial at the 6 o’clock positions, which will be a regular stopwatch watch. Swatch is an activity tracker ranging from 0% to 100% of your target. By default, it shows the percentage of the targeted action. However, it can measure any practical activity and focus, but only when training is working.

benefit
However, ScanWatch has many advantages over Apple Watch.

The most obvious of them is the battery life. Endings take 30 days. And the truth seems: I played with him longer than usual, and it lasted 21 days. Ease of putting it on and forgetting it for weeks is a much better experience than charging your Apple Watch every day (two squeeze days).

In particular, it makes sleep monitoring more practical. With an Apple Watch, you have to make an excellent arrangement to use it to control your sleep: you have to take it off at night to recharge before bed, which is a pain, or hide it as soon as you wake up and then put it back on before leaving your home or starting. With Scanwatch, leave it on 24/7.

When it comes to sleeping track, ScanWatch is much better than Apple. We had a terrible problem with mosquitoes one night that caused me to wake up four times when I was bitten. Apple Watch showed none of these sessions on standby; ScanWatch tracks sleep disturbances and show them all. Swatch is also open and is believed to show periods of deep and light sleep. The complete sleep report shows the sections of sleep, light, and deep sleep; Total duration; Deep sleep levels; and general evaluation. Compared to many Apple Watch types, seeing the time without raising your hand is a small benefit, but mainly for those around you! With some people wearing all these watches for an hour, it’s not uncommon for a friend to have a stand on my arms and wonder when. With the help of Scanwatch, you can see for yourself.

When I want to know when, I see myself turning my hand 100% securely towards me on my Apple Watch 4 speaker, and in fact, the fifth column has a fixed width. However, we found that this has a cost of battery life, so ScanWatch still has an advantage here.

After all, many will focus on traditional watches as profitable. This will be their main selling point; More on that in a short time.

Swatch price to expiry
As it continues to sell in the US, the Withings ScanWatch will be priced at 2,279, like the 38mm and $ 299 for the 42mm it has tested. To do this, you can purchase a series of 3 Apple Watch for $ 199 to 38 mm or $ 229 to 42 mm, which makes the check-up watch an expensive purchase price for a (non-mobile) device.

But I think this is very unrealistic: despite the competent interaction, different devices attract different people.

I’ve used Apple Watch and ScanWatch for three weeks, one on each hand. I must say I like ScanWatch more than I expected. It’s best looking on the Apple Watch, and it’s the wipe-out watch I’ll be looking at when I want to know when. I also looked at it to see my arithmetic work (or what I want to know is looking for symptoms at wrong percentages). I really can’t use it.

For me, the lack of Apple Pay means that it cannot be launched as an Apple Watch replacement. I spend my time paying for 99% of my purchases, and Express Transit facilitates public transport in London.

If you are a minimalist who likes the immaculate architecture of Scanwatch, I am also an information fool. Charts are a face I almost always use (and sometimes flirt with a big secret), and I would pretend to see things like the weather and the next calendar entry. It’s also a straightforward way to do things like reading messages while the cell phone is on, and although browsing with Scanwatch works better than expected, it still can’t read an entire message at a glance.

But if you’re someone who dismisses the idea of having a screen in your hand but still appreciates a smartwatch’s capabilities, I think ScanWatch might be interesting. It’s just another excellent time I’ve seen so far, and I’ve been very impressed to try. Being able to use it and forgetting to recharge for a month will also give more when
